Art Cover Contest

  • Open to any student residing in a Title I Neglected or Delinquent facility

  • One submission per facility

  • Artwork should be on an 8 1/2 x 11 paper, scanned into a PDF file

  • Prizes

    • 1st Place - The cover of the Symposium book and the facility will receive $500 in art supplies​

    • 2nd Place - The facility will receive $300 in art supplies and the artwork will be in the Symposium book

    • 3rd Place - The facility will receive $150 in art supplies and the artwork will be in the Symposium book

Symposium Details

  • Presenters

    • Requests for Proposals (RFPs) are currently being accepted for breakout sessions​ and are due July 31, 2020 - see link below for the RFP

    • Presenters will be emailed by August 28, 2020, regarding the status of their proposal.

    • If accepted, presenters must register for the N&D Symposium by September 11, 2020.

    • Meals and transportation are the responsibility of the presenter.

    • Presenter is responsible for providing all equipment needed for the presentation.  Only a screen and flip chart will be provided.

    • Presenters must adhere to all copyright laws.

  • Registration

    • Registration will be open August 31, 2020 – September 11, 2020. 

    • All attendees and presenters must register online during this time

    • Late registrations will not be accepted.

  • Free Registrations/Lodging

    • Free registration and lodging will be provided for individuals representing a Title I funded N&D institution or LEA.  

    • Free registration and lodging will be provided for all presenters (up to two per session). 

    • Meals will be the responsibility of each registrant.

  • Meal Costs

    • Meals costs are the responsibility of the registrant.

    • The meal package is required to be purchased for anyone staying at the lodge and should be paid at hotel check-in via cash, check, money order, or credit card in the amount of $162.00 per person.

    • For attendees not staying at the hotel, meal tickets may be purchased directly from the hotel.

    • Meal costs are a Title I allowable travel expense and participants may request reimbursement from their institution or LEA.

  • Non-Free Registrations

    • Registrations for non-Title I institutions and LEAs will be accepted for the cost of lodging at $308.00 per person.

    • Meals will need to be purchased upon hotel check-in. 

    • The cost of lodging must be received by Friday, September 18, 2020, or registration will be cancelled.
